Stand-up Comedy Robots Have Arrived
Well, obviously, there’s a robot in stand-up comedy, so hide your jokes, hide your bits, and hide your observations, because they’re automating everybody up here.
Robots and automation have been taking people’s jobs since the Industrial Revolution. First it was auto workers and manufacturers, and then eventually included secretaries, bank tellers and payroll clerks.
What do they all have in common? Their jobs are dominated by routine tasks.
Comedians must be next; what’s a more ‘routine’ task than something actually called ‘a routine?’
